Recently, the twentieth batch of National Institute of Technology Calicut(RCBTAA) has been discussing meaningful ways to create sustainable options for developing student and faculty outcomes at the core, more so in the Industry readiness for the Engineering trades and, for developing the necessary practical foundation required for future Research-mindset scholars.
We recognized that the rate of technology-driven disruption in the industry, and hence the makeup of graduate engineers required now is far outpacing the rate at which the academic system in India is changing. That creates a steep gap, only bound to deepen, and this gap is growing very quickly.
In 2020, we decisively came together to act. It was a common voice amongst us to act fast, despite the challenges posed by Covid-19. In Q4 of 2020, we put together a plan. This was met with a very enthusiastic welcome from the NITC leadership as well as the support of the NITCAA governing body, and we were on our way! In Q1 of 2021, we completed the foundations of a laboratory setup at NITC which we believe can serve several core requirements of learning from an Industry 4.0 readiness perspective. In Q2 of 2021, we determined that, creating a non-profit organization could tremendously enhance the possibilitIes of like-minded alumni to participate in a way they best suits them by opening up channels of sustainable growth and investments. RCBTAA/Intecsol was born! We also said we could expand to other higher education institutes and colleges.
Today, we have active participation from the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, Europe, Australia and the Americas with members who are well experienced and having walked through careers in multiple capacities, specialties, organizations and Industry sectors, including but not limited to Energy, Healthcare, Industrials, Hi-Tech, Oil and Gas, Defence, Space, Construction, Agriculture, Administrative Services, and others, committed to work on this promise and create a difference.
As we started connecting with leading companies and educational organizations in India and abroad, we are inspired by the quick response and intense interest we are meeting with to work with us and create programs and projects that are collective wins for the Academia, Industry and Communities.
We invite your thoughts. If you write to us at connect@intecsol.org, we shall get back to you typically within 2 business days.
