In an age where the effects of climate change and natural calamities are sparing no communities across the world, the importance of timely warnings and preventive actions cannot be overstated. The fast-evolving technologies like IoT and AI prediction models will be the key for timely intervention in disaster prediction/management. There is a need to build web-based community data platforms in data scarce regions, with real-time visualisation, analysis and monitoring of water related climate change impacts using data sourced from communities through building local community partnerships. The denser the data gathering network, the better the grip on the sudden and unexpected changes that climate change is bringing on.
